Close to 3,000 volunteers are the backbone of Samaritan Ministries.

People of all faiths who believe in the mission of Samaritan Ministries are welcome to serve with us. Samaritan’s board of directors and staff are committed to providing volunteers with meaningful work and appropriate training in a safe and secure environment.

Students in the seventh-grade with an adult can volunteer in the Soup Kitchen. Students at least 18 years old can volunteer in the shelter with an adult.

From time to time, especially during the summer, we need some substitutes in the Soup Kitchen. If you have a flexible schedule and would like to be placed on a Substitutes List, please check that box on the volunteer form.

"There’s a misconception about homeless people. When you get to know them, you see they’re people just like you who have hit a little bump in the road."
