This year, we honor Jim Graham with the 2026 Myrtie Davis Lifetime Volunteer Servant Leadership Award. This annual award recognizes a long-time volunteer for selfless commitment to Samaritan Ministries and our guests.
Myrtie Davis served selflessly by loving others because Jesus loved her. She spent many hours preparing food at Samaritan, sharing her musical talent on the piano, and intentionally listening to whatever a guest wanted to share.
Jim Graham continues her legacy through his many years of humble, compassionate service. He reflects the heart of our mission to provide food, shelter, and hope through Christian love. “The essence of being a volunteer is showing up with a spirit that’s willing to be willing,” Jim shared, adding that “the greater good is only accomplished in the fellowship of serving together.” We are grateful that Jim and all our volunteers choose to serve our community at Samaritan Ministries.
