Sam and Eggs
SAM & Eggs, Samaritan’s outreach to the business community, is an annual fundraising breakfast held in September at Bridger Field House at Wake Forest University. The Samaritan Philanthropy Award, which recognizes a person or group who has made significant contributions to Samaritan Ministries, is presented. Recent years have seen attendance for this event grow to more than 300 people who are anxious to support, serve and learn more about Samaritan. To read more about this event, click here.

The Penny Campaign, Samaritan’s signature community event, has raised money to feed and house our neighbors in need for more than 25 years. From October to December, you’ll see penny jars in schools, churches and other locations collecting change, bills and checks. Collection Day, the first Saturday in December, brings together people from throughout the community to deliver their contributions, enjoy a variety of entertainment and remember those in need during the holidays. Tour De Llama
Samaritan’s newest annual event takes place in the spring at Divine Llama Vineyards in East Bend. Our inaugural event in 2014 attracted over 100 community-minded men and women ranging in age from 16 to 68. Cyclists choose from 30 or 60 mile rides through the Yadkin County countryside and return for lunch, photos with llamas, hayrides and more. It’s a true family event with activities for all ages.
