HOT Project

The Homeless Opportunities and Treatment (HOT) Project began in 2009 as a partnership between Samaritan Ministries and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine under the direction of Dr. Liz Arnold. The HOT Project offers an on-site mental health clinic, where it can best reach those served. Its goal is to improve mental health stability among the homeless population in Forsyth County. Funded by Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, Health Care Division, HOT has helped more than 930 people with counseling, medication and other services.
