Groups or Churches

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat . . .
I was a stranger and you invited me in . . . Matthew 25:35

The prayers, volunteers and financial support we receive from churches are critical to our Ministry. Church groups are the primary source of shelter volunteers throughout the year. We need your continuous support to sustain us. We are committed to live our faith by helping hungry, homeless and people in need in our community. There are many ways to support Samaritan, they include:

  • Remembering hungry and homeless people in your prayers
  • Including Samaritan Ministries in your annual budget
  • Designating a Love Offering to Samaritan Ministries
  • Creating an alternative giving opportunity. Honor someone with a gift to Samaritan Ministries.
  • Signing up teams of 6 overnight shelter volunteers during your designated denomination month
  • Creating a fundraiser benefiting Samaritan Ministries
  • Participating in the annual Penny Campaign
  • Organizing a Souper Bowl of Caring collection on February 1, 2009 Super Bowl Sunday
  • Remembering our hungry and homeless neighbors year-round
  • Sharing your blessings
